ALVEDAMA is our EU Registered trade name for the Madeira Aloe Vera product.

Our company has been growing and fabricating Aloe Vera as a commercial product on Madeira Island since 1999. Aloe Vera does not grow in Mainland Europe as it cannot withstand temperatures below 7ºC.

Our products are sold in Supermarkets, Pharmacies, Hotels, Touristic Shops and Health Spas. The Madeira Aloe Vera products are exported to the Czech Republic, Belgium, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Italy.

A major Supermarket chain in Portugal uses the Madeira Aloe Vera Gel as its PRIVATE LABEL. Apart from this, our product has been tested by an American company who proved that it is the best quality Aloe Vera Gel article in the worldwide market.

The Aloe Vera plant is grown by local madeiran farmers in Funchal, Câmara de Lobos, Seixal, Portela, Prazeres and Ponta do Sol. All Aloe Vera plants are the property of Calhoune Produtos de Aloe Vera Lda.

In most countries, the Aloe Vera leaves weigh approximately 1 Kg. However, on the Island of Madeira the leaves grow up to 2 Kg. Furthermore, Madeira Island's perfect soil conditions allow the Aloe Vera plant to flower twice a year.

In the near future, guests may visit the Aloe Vera plantations in Santa Luzia and Portela in what will soon be a major Tourist Attraction on the Island.
