About AloeVera from Madeira
The products are manufactured in the shortest possible time as the Aloe Vera gel oxidizes in a very short time and this reduces the healing properties of the Aloe Vera.
In most countries, the Aloe Vera leaves weigh approximately 1 Kg. However, on the Island of Madeira the leaves grow up to 2 Kg. Apart from this, Madeira Island's perfect soil conditions allow the Aloe Vera plant to flower twice a year. The plants are grown in Ponta do Sol, Calheta, Prazeres, Gaula, Câmara de Lobos, Portela and Seixal. Aloe Vera does not grow in Mainland Europe as it cannot withstand temperatures below 7ºC.
ALVEDAMA'S wide range of products are solely made with Aloe Barbadensis Miller - considered to be the most therapeutic of over 300 species of Aloe plants.
Our products are sold in Supermarkets, Pharmacies, Hotels, Touristic Shops and Health Spas. The Madeira Aloe Vera products are exported to the Czech Republic, Belgium, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Italy.
